What is the Offline Version?
Passpack is an online password manager - that hasn't changed. But there are times when you might not have an internet connection, or simply when you prefer to work offline. That's when the offline version will come in handy.
Do I need a Passpack account?
Yes. This is an Offline version, it's an auxiliary tool for Passpack account holders. Sign up is free.
Should I download it now?
It's a good idea. You need an internet connection to download, install and set up your offline version. If you do that now, then you'll be ready should you ever get stuck without access to Passpack.
What about features?
The same as online with some limitations. For example, auto-login is not available in the offline version, and there is no anti-phishing or access to disposable logins. All those features require internet access.
Is there an MD5 Checksum?

What's this? This is like a fingerprint. You can perform an md5 check to compare the fingerprint from the file you downloaded to the fingerprint of the file on Passpack's server. If they match, you have an uncorrupted Offline Version.
Installation Instructions
This tool will allow you to access your Passpack data without having to access the website.
To install the Offline Version, follow these steps:
- Get Google Gears
Make sure your system is compatible (if not, the offline version will not work for you) then download and install it by following Google's instructions. You will have to restart your browser afterwards. - Download Passpack Offline Version
Save the ZIP file on your computer, and extract it somewhere on your computer. Open up the resulting folder and double click passpack.html. - Give Passpack Permission
You will see a Security Alert. Check "Remember my decision for this site" and press "Allow".
(In Explorer you must also allow blocked content) - Set up your Offline Version
The first time using this tool after installation, you must sign in to your Passpack account. This will enable you to download a copy of your data. You will only have to do this once.
Afterwards, you will be able to access your locally stored data whenever you wish, no internet connection needed, by simply providing your Packing Key.
