Passpack Releases First Ever Web-based 1 Click Login

The first push button web login tool to work without a plugin and no software to install has just been released by Passpack.com, industry leading Online Privacy & Password Manager.

The innovation makes logging into websites as convenient as a using plugin, while maintaining the anytime, anywhere advantage of pure web applications.

With '1 Click Login' turned on, Passpack users can freely browse the web, then click a button to login to a website without having to click through from inside the password manager.

"This is standard procedure for a browser plugin," says founding partner Tara Kelly, "but it's a first for web applications that run inside the browser."

The technology at the base of the tool is a bookmarklet, called the Passpack It! button, which is simply dragged from inside the user's account onto the browser's toolbar, then clicked when needed. The button is unique to each user, and can be easily added and deleted to an unlimited number of computers.

The application also offers the ability to quickly regenerate a new button, rendering all buttons previously installed worldwide immediately and permanently useless.

"These throw-away buttons make auto-login secure and available for home users and travelers alike," says Kelly, "and they're so easy to use, anyone can do it."

Online password managers cater to users that need a secure storage for sensitive information, accessible anytime from any computer they happen to be using at the moment.

Unlike traditional password managers loaded onto USB key chains for portability, online password managers can't be forgotten at home, lost, stolen or dropped in a puddle. Additionally, they can be run on public machines where USB drives aren't welcome, as well as accessed from web-enabled mobile devices without a USB slot.
